Rice grows in the wet fields of the central plains. A long, narrow area of land stretches south along the Gulf of Thailand. Thick rain forests cover this mountainous region. Many rubber and coconut trees grow there. Islands lie off the coast. Thailand has three seasons. From March to May, The weather is hot and dry. The rainy season lasts from June through October.
